I remember being in Nashville in the early 1990s and saw a two-tone SS350. It was the lighter blue available that year (Warwick Blue in Pontiac-speak) with a white top. I believe 1969 was the first year for the two-tone option on the Camaro.
I've also known that the default stripe color for a burgundy 1969 Camaro was - strangely - red. I have seen one or two SSs like this, but it didn't occur to me that I hadn't seen a Z . . . until now. There's a pic of one in the latest Musclecar Review, and it's the first Camaro in a long time that has stopped my heart. So I thought it would be interesting if people could post cars that are trimmed a little different from the norm . . . anyone? |

I own (since 1977) a documented (shipper invoice & orig bill of sale) 68 RS Z/28 Cordovan Maroon with White Houndstooth interior and white stripes. There are several 69s in this combo, mine is the only 68 to have surfaced so far according to CRG. Also own (since 1988) a 68 SS/RS Convertible LeMans Blue with White interior, top and stripes. I can't wait to see what else shows up on this thread!!!

Here's a link from the lounge section of my 1970 red/white and blue Trans Am. A very pretty combination.

Cool, but what about Camaros? Those are the cars - like Mustangs - that seem they're like bellybuttons, but there must be some that are different!

[/ QUOTE ] The maroon car is the only one known to exist. Other than that, nothing rare. Nothing rare at all....... ![]() |
