Default Snow Dog 2009

It seems the crazy mini-Jack Russell we got last year as a rescue, loves the snow. The Basenjis aren't too thrilled with the white stuff and the husky/lab mix can take it or leave it.

We have around a foot of powder in the back yard and he just can't get enough of it. He only weighs 10 pounds so it seems he's not heavy enough to sink through to the ground level like the other dogs.

It looks kind of like a live action version of Pac-Man when he's chasing that inflatable ball...

Our psycho doggie is loving the snow as well. She goes leaping through it like a rabbit then breaks into a sprint and makes some 10-15 foot leaps at full speed! She'll land in a 2 foot drift and take a mouthfull of snow and eat it.

He's still lovin' it even though the snow is harder packed now, three days later. It's like watching a dolphin swimming. He puts his nose down, plows ahead at full speed and then leaps in the air every few yards just to see where he is. Such a happy pup!

That is great Steve; I wish I had half of that energy. My car would have been done years ago.
