1970 road runner 6 bbl

Any closet Mopar guys out there?I went and looked at a 1970 road runner 6 bbl to keep my 396 nova company.The car has over 90,000 miles,in violet color car,broadcast sheet,track pack 3.54 dana,dual point distributor,7 blade viscous fan,26 inch rad correct number,correct holley carbs ,correct alternator, correct exhaust manifolds,hemi 4 speed pistol grip,bumper guards front and rear,lower rocker/belt molding ,2 door post,bench seat,air grabber,power disk brakes,correct hemi rear leaf springs (looks like the original ones),paint is finished,chrome needs to be redone,rubber gaskets finished around doors,windows and trunk are finished,engine not blowing blue smoke however would be tired,rad is leaking and needs to be recored,needs new inner door panels front and rear(somebody made speaker wholes in the panels,numbers matching engine and transmission,rot in passger front door dog leg and door skins might have to be replaced,rot in one rear inner wheelwell,leaded seams are swollen.The question is what is a reasonnable offer? Robert - nice options/color if they are all found on the Fender Tag and Broadcast sheet. Is the FT original? Howz bout the hidden VINS? Mopars took it in the teeth when the muscle car marktet imploded. If doors are showing rust issues, I would be concerned about rust in other areas. I am not up on the market specifically for '70 'runners, but considering this cars condition, options, original drivetrain, I would say $34-44K depending on whether there are hidden rust issues. Please get other's inputs as mine is a real SWAG! Good luck!

Why is there rot if the paint is finished? Id be concerned if its fresh and already showing signs.. From your decription Id say some where in the 35k to 40k range.

To give you an idea there is super nice 70' RR numbers 4 speed air grabber forsale in IL. for I believe around 60k right now and Galen seems to think its the cats meow!

Just incase your a Dodge guy I have a 85% to 90% rotisserie restored 70' Super Bee 440 Sixpack, Hemi Orange, Ram Charger Hood car, buckets console, Original Sheet metal california car Id sell for around the 35k mark.

I think by paint is finished, he meant it needs paint. Anyway, sounds like a neat car, but needing a total restoration, I don't think I would go much over thirty grand on it, and less if possible. I will say that my old 70 Six Barrel Road Runner was one of the most fun cars I've ever owned.

Eight lines and no mention of the color of exterior/stripes/interior?

What about the fender tag? Broadcast sheet?

V-code RRs are not terribly rare, so you don't need to kill yourself into thinking you need this car - there's plenty more around.

Agree completely. They're way more common than a Hemi car. I'm a little surprised they weren't even more common. The increase in performance over a 383 car versus the cost made the Six Bubble about the best deal ever to show up in a Chrysler showroom.
