What would have been the standard rear for a Camaro with a 396-325,400T, column shift + AC?
Thanks in advance, Eric |

Eric my 69 Camaro is a L35 396-325hp 4 speed that came with a 3.31 posi. I imagine your car came with something like 3.08's with the AC but it could have come with something else. What year is the car? Mark

Mark.
Thanks for the info. It is a 69. I don't think it was a posi because there isn't a sticker on the trunk lid. It has a 3.08 ten bolt in it now. I'm sure the rear has been switched because the U-bolt are wrong. Eric |

Our COPO car didn't have the trunk decal either. They lifted the car and checked for posi before I would buy it. It has the KQ 4.10 rearend.

It is possible that it wasn't a posi but I still believe that the gears were around the 3.08 size with the fact of it being an automatic with ac. What is the date of your build?

We had a car like that in the shop only an auto. It was a 3.31 12 bolt open.

Thanks for all the help.
The car is an 04C build. Now I will start looking for a BM or BS coded rear. |

3.07 was the standard gear for a 69 L35(325hp)/M40. AC didn't affect the gearing.
L34 is the 350 hp 396, btw.
