Default Favorite '69 Z's we've owned

This is my favorite Z that I've owned. Its had a very good owner down in CA for the last several years, and he was kind enough to send me this recent picture. This was an 02C Los Angeles car, 72 72 w/711 standard interior. Console, gauges, M-20 wide ratio (double stamped with the partial VIN), and a BO1220G rearend. For those unfamiliar, the BO rear is the 3.73 12 bolt you got if you opted NOT to get the recommended positraction on your Z. Rally Sport trim, but flat hood and no spoilers. I loved it that way, and am so grateful the new owner has kept it as such. It had 4 of its original 5 Jan 20th dated YH wheels when I bought it, and I found a 5th Jan 20 wheel in a stack of FW's at a swapmeet locally within a year of buying it (!!). Had the original POP with it, and I found a very readable chassis build sheet on top of the gas tank. Great car! I know many on the board here have had '69 Z's, and would like to see you post your favorites if you get a chance.

TOM

I still own this car. Flat hood no spoilers. The fact the car did not have a ZL2 hood and D80 attracted me to it among other things. I bought the car 6 years ago with 35K miles and about 95% original paint. The car looked a little rough in places within 20 feet so I decided to paint it. Other than paint the car is original, including the carpet and dashpad.
I don't know if I like the TT's or not...they grow on me then I look at the car with Rallys and think about taking them off. I guess the good news is that they just bolt on and off!

I think one of the best Z28 combinations is the ZL2 hood without spoilers. We Vintage Certified a survivor that Ken Pascoe owned and it looked fantastic. It was FG with white interior. I'd love to own that car.
