M H tires on front of 70 baldwin motion chevelle

I imagine many have seen the recently restored green 70 chevelle (in recent muscle car magazines, and at mcacn show last fall), and it has M H drag master tires in front to match the back. It has the L88 hood on it, etc.

Did joel put that tire choice on some of his cars for front tires? I like the way it looks, just wondered if it could corner at all and was it something motion actually did.

Joel advised us to use M&H as period correct replacements since MT discontinued the Indy Profile SS (his first choice).

thank you! It was a first to see those MH racemaster tires used on the fronts. I like the way they look, and that car looks great overall.

How does the car drive on those tires? I would worry the sidewalls are soft (great for back, not so great for front).

got it back from mechanic last fri. only drove it a short distance and my heart was racing. the tires are crazy sticky. didnt drive it long enough to give you a real answer. i was mesmorized by the sound of the sidepipes. the schutzbank bros hooked me up with an NOS 67 vette set and it sounds very different from repops. my neighbors werent as psyched
