Just got off the phone with Karen...she is at the Eddie Herr International Junior Championships at the Bollettieri Academy in Brandenton, FL. Eddie Herr was Karen's grandfather and a driving force in promoting junior tennis in the USA. Karen says that it is a great event and everyone is having a super time. This is largest junior tennis event in the world and a great legacy to her grandfather.

She was a tennis player long before golf entered the picture. Her family was very big in tennis...her mother taught, Karen played on the tour and was the Executive Director of the WTA for several years. Her grandfather, Eddie Herr, was instrumental in starting junior tennis in the US. I think her great golf game comes from the solid inside move with the tennis racket...
it's boring though..the ball is always in the middle of the fairway. (just ask Tibor )
