It was rumoured that the first dozen 72 W30's got red
inner to use up inventory. Those cars would have been built in Aug or Sept 71.This car was likely built late January or early Feb. Good story but not plausible. A few observations, it appears to have Buick wheels and the front bumper guards are in the wrong spot. Desirable car. 30 W30 rags in Canada for 72 is high. My guess is that represents all W30 72's. Speaking of Canadian cars, ever see the '72 Buick stuff? You may be surprised how many GSXs were Canadian: http://stage1registry.com/registry/1...e1_Hardtop.pdf http://stage1registry.com/registry/1...onvertible.pdf http://www.buickgsx.net/1972%20GSX%2...nformation.pdf |

I got this email from the owner today.
"Thanks for the info Ken, feel free to throw in an offer, you won't insult me if you throw in a low offer the car has to go soon, Thanks again, John" |

I had heard that early cars had bumper guards near this position but were found to do no help on impact as the center of bumper was getting hit. They moved them closer to the center, but this should have been corrected by the 72 model year as 71's were the same bumper.
