Default Phillips Petroleum

Does anyone know anything about Phillips Petroleum Co. in Oklahoma buying/ordering cars? And cars being shipped/delivered to dealerships?

I believe there was a 1967 warranty plate for sale recently with the original purchaser being Phillips Petroleum Co.

Was it shipped to an Oklahoma dealer?
No idea if true or what dealer but this link mentions a VP of Phillips Petroleum owning a Chevy dealership...

It was a car on ebay with a Warranty Plate. I just remember it was sold to Phillips Petroleum and I thought it was cool. I'm sorry that I can't remember more of the details.

That's cool. The car sold to Phillips Petroleum, but the delivery dealer code and zone show Naquin Chevrolet in Elkhart, Indiana.

Naquin is still in business, but they have moved to a new location further west, but still in Elkhart.

There was a 69 POP with Gulf Oil as the buyer. Is that the one you were thinking of?

Very interesting. I think these cars bought by large corporations like this must be executive cars. I've read about several well optioned cars that were purchased or ordered by large companies being executive cars. Interesting... my research continues.

Back in the day, there was a local guy that won a national safety award as a boss for a large local coal mine. For his accomplishment he was awarded with a Cranberry Red LS6.
