This is a pair of very nice unmolested 67 L-88/L-89 aluminum heads. The casting number on each head is 3904392. Both heads are dated 4.5.67 as shown. These heads were recently purchased at an estate sale. From what I was told, the owner used to have a 67 Corvette 427 which was sold before these heads were found hidden deep in the estate. I imagine the Corvette was something special but it is long gone. These heads appear to have been rebuilt before they were stored and have been well cared for.
These heads have the stock size 2.19/1.72 valves and have zero porting in the intake and exhaust ports. All rocker studs are in excellent condition with no breaks or repairs. There is no corrosion in the cooling ports. Both heads appear to have been very lightly surfaced during the rebuild. The deck surfaces are still extremely thick as shown. The heads have not been polished or otherwise altered. The casting numbers, dates, and all 4 Winter's Foundry snowflakes on the outer exhaust ports are intact and unaltered. This is simply an excellent set of 67 big block Chevy aluminum heads. SOLD Jason I also have a set of late 67 dated 3919842 heads in similar condition for SOLD. |
