The marks were a combination of assembly and Manufacturing plant indicators which could be on top of or under the final paint process used. Paint marks on the front of heads under orange paint, crayon marks on the firewall- an indication of body paint color paint marks on the booster, and finally any misc assembly plant audit or quality defect markings. Some of these were entirely random. Sometimes there were very few.
If you find them on your car during restoration reproduce them, its part of your car's individual and unique history. |

There were no Yenko specific markings per say that I know of. Just look at an original or correctly restored big block car to get an idea. But please do not overdo it with the graffiti !! haha Good luck and post pics after !!

Absolutely, engine designation, "X" and others.
Then there is the Flint Pink on the face of the head under the Chevy engine orange too. |

Most of the misc marks were assembly aids used by the workers at the assembly plant. For instance an ARO may need to crayon an engine as to its designation, where the normal worker that has that element had no need to do so.
