Default 1970 Monte Carlo SS 454

I haven’t seen one of these in a while. Looks like a great project for $15k.

“ Rare 1970 Monte Carlo SS 454 big block . Bucket seats Center shifter interior clean outside need some love in paint job has a lil cancer on passager quarter panel.. first 15k... Gets it...NO LESS.. runs and drive extremely well.. Lots of power!!”

When I was a kid growing up, the guy a couple of streets over had one of these - red with black VT. He also had a 70 Chevelle SS 396. When he blew the motor up in the Chevelle, he swapped the motor over from the Monte.

Those cars have one of the longest radiator fan shrouds I have ever seen. You could easily fit a V12 in one of those cars.

My uncle owned one of these... yellow with black vinyl and guts. I spent some good times in that passenger seat.

I'd like to see this car with a stick... and some vintage torque thrusts! Wonder what size tire those rear wheel openings will take?

I don't remember why but GM never made an SS454 with a 4sp. Anyone know?

Can't answer that, but IIRC a 4 speed could be had with a 402 big block?
