Default Using a Car Jacket/Bag on a 4 Post Lift?

Debating whether to bag the Camaro on the 4 post lift and keep the daily drivers in the garage this winter or kick them out into the snow. Anyone use a car jacket on a car parked on a lift?

You mean a cover? If not, what is a “jacket”?

I use them on my cars, but haven’t used them on a lift. No reason I can think of that they wouldn’t work.

Thanks guys. I figured it would work, but couldn’t find an example anywhere on the internet. I thought I’ll take the battery out then zip it up until Spring. I’ve only had one other car that is as nice underneath as it is on top!

Post Car Jacket on a lift...

We have used these 'bags' for years...they are a great product. No reason it won't work on a lift but you need to be sure you have it positioned correctly. There is normally a little give and take using the bag on the floor...with the lift the bag will have to be centered correctly on the ramps so the zippers come together without binding.

We take out the batteries, over inflate the tires, add stabilizer to the full tank of gas and use some dryer sheets and de-humidity packets in the car and in the bag.

I assume you put a cloth cover on the car prior to the bag...

I use the CarBag every year on my Bendpak HD-9. It's no issue, works great.

It looks like your ramps are treadplate, but on the Bendpaks there is an abrasive baked into the powedercoat which will damage the bag. I put some ~18" square interlocking floor tiles over my ramps to make a smoother surface, and I lay the bag over that.

I have 3 of them and work great. I dont see why you couldnt use it on the lift.
I put sheets over the car and then pull the bag over.
