I remember working on a couple of these cars back in the day.
You had to unbolt the motor mounts and raise the engine to change one or two of the spark plugs. Saw this pics and the hair on the back of my neck raised just like on a scared cat. Some deja vu should be deja don't. Then, I got to thinking, that 305 takes up the same space as a big cube small block. Would it be fun to run this with a 450 hp engine? I will never know, that's for sure. https://www.hemmings.com/auction/197...ign=2022-04-27

Yup,
Growing up, my buddy had a black Spider and dropped a well built small block into it. The thing was down right nasty on the street. His back tires would always become bald and he blew up stock diffs about every two weeks apart. I remember he would swap them out right at the wrecker yard in about 1.5 hours flat. The car was stupid fast. Weighed nothing.
