From FB:
I figured you guys might like this story and maybe help me out. I'm a pastor who loves working on cars. A woman in my church whose husband just passed away asked me Sunday if I knew of a scrap company to get some old cars from the property so she could sell one of her homes. I told her to let me look before she scrapped. She said to take them, please. I showed up yesterday and saw a hidden Camaro. Pull the door up and clear a path, and it's a 1969 Rs/ss and reads 17k miles. Her husband parked it in 1982 and left it there. I'm pulling it out today, but it has no rear rims and tires. Would a modern donut tire fit it? And where is an good place to pull from on it? https://www.facebook.com/groups/1107...eric&ref=notif His profile: https://www.facebook.com/abewilliams01/ |

Well it's not a RS, but it does appear to be a SS396. Wow, if this is real it's a great find.

By the placement the spoiler was added later in life. What is the details for those of us that do not partake in fb.. Makes me smile seeing people embarking on a project. Bets on when it is flipped/sold?

No other details yet, I shared a link to CRG to him so he could decode the trim tag, and I shared a pic of a BB heater core.

wow pretty cool. Keep us updated. Had a relative who was a Home Appraiser and was Checking an estate sale home in NW Chicago and went to Check the garage as there was a fence in front of overhead door in alley. Inside was a 57 2dr 150 all original with some 30K miles that they bought fr 500 bucks rear drums were rusted and motor was stuck sitting since 74.

I think he's going to decode the trim tag and go from there. I looked at his profile and he is a pastor so I think it's legit.

I hope no windows were left open, or the whole inside will be full of 'coon shit too. What a mess.

Saw this post last night and thought it was pretty cool. Hope it isn't too bad on the underside with it sitting on dirt for who knows how long. I'm following along for the update. Noticed within minutes the vultures (some observed flippers) coming out of the wood work offering to haul it away on a tow truck for cash immediately - there's unfortunately some sad sides to this hobby...
