Default GM Carlisle

Tell you all what happened.
First of all Larry Christian took a Gold with his '67 Pace Car.
Brian Henderson did his informative Yenko Seminars (he was so busy we Hardly saw him)
Phil Borris '70 RS Z-28, George Lyons '69 L-89 Pace Car, and MY '69 ZL-1 were on display in Building T along with the GM Cars and Concept Cars.
I got to meet JON MOSS he was looking at my car, we talked for over 1 hour and he is Very Down to Earth-Really nice.
He told me how he was involved with the development of the Chambered Exhaust.
He also told me about GM's new 100,000 Square foot Building for antique, concept and Muscle Cars. He was also looking to Buy some cars in Building T for GM's new Building.
I also met Bruce Larson and found out that he raced my ZL-1 when it was new for Sutliff Chevrolet in Harrisburg, Pa.
Sutliff was his sponsor in racing. He also told me my ZL-1 had Chambered Exhaust when new.
Oh yea, by the way Ginnie Hassett took another 1st in her class--Modified 4th generation Camaro

Sounds like a good time. I was going to head out there but I ended up selling my 93 Pace Car last week and found myself too busy working around the house. That sounds great that GM is starting their own collection of vintage, muscle and concept cars. So did Moss say anything about the 5th generation Camaro? I sure hope they bring it back quickly.

Bummer on the rain, but at least it was a lot cooler than last year! Looking forward to the York show

I had great time seeing the "SuperCar Reunion guys" and all the cars. Was there when Bruce Larson was talking about Marks ZL1. Bruce said they took Marks ZL1 to the track to try to help sell it because the ZL1's were not flying out of the show rooms. Bruce was also talking about running the L88 motors in the early Funny cars. Said he liked iron blocks and heads but used some alu heads. The Fuel cars were braking iron blocks so he was afraid to use the alu block. He also said Chevy engineering told him the BB Chevy 3/8 rods are just as strong as the 7/16 rods and they only made the 7/16 rods because the racers thought they needed them.
Thanks again Brian H.!

Any thoughts on the "new" Nomad that was at Carlisle? I liked it. Is GM going to produce the Nomad or is it a concept car?

I like the Nomad. A retro 1st Gen 500hp ZL1 Camaro would be nice to. The Chevy guys gave a seminar and took some questions. They don't have the right attitude in my opinion. They were full of excuses of why they can't build stuff because of emission, safety, fuel mileage, and low projected profits. They should be more positive. I pointed out that the Viper and Ford GT has 500 hp and they pass all the same restrictions but they said those are "halo cars" just built to sell the other lines. Sounds like another excuse not to build something cool.

Jeff, I never thought to ask JON about the next Gen. Camaro.
I did ask JON to SELL me his Black 4th Gen. Camaro (the one with the ZL-1 Donavan Engine) He told us General Motors has over $300,000 invested in it! He said the car is currently apart as they are trying to get another 400 HP added to it. He signed a picture for me and I'll try to post it.
