Good question, Brian can straighten out this story for me, but here goes. MCC was at the Camaro nationals one year, BK was there with Cory's island teal '68 yenko camaro. Dennis Gage pretty much ignored the '68 yenko to do a feature, and cruise, in a '69 yellow yenko clone! So, if you ever see this episode, just remember 'clone' in the back of your head while Gage is praising it. When confronted with the fact that he just featured a fake, he blew them off!! Oh well, I guess it's all about selling air-time

I heard that Dennis was a "Tool" but I can't say anything about him since I do not know the guy. Did he not have something to do with Pringles?? Anyway I can't believe he would feature a Clone car and ignore the real McCoy.....

Dennis is credited with inventing Pringles. That's his mustached likeness on every box. I think he's also behind one of those electrolyte sports drinks and may have a degree in chemistry.

There is a thread on another site labeled "Pet Peeves" which I think relates to this topic. Two of my pet peeves are Dennis Gage's laugh (chuckles constantly) and the fact that he always seems to walk by the interesting cars to get to some off the wall something he personally likes! I had a beer with Dennis in the Hotel parking lot at Chevell-a-bration 2001. He's not a bad guy and is a little more down to earth than you might think from watching the TV show.
My car and the previous owner had a 30 second claim to fame interview with Joe on Horsepower TV in 1999.

i had a chance to talk to dennis for a little while after he spoke at a regional ASME (american society of mechanical engineers) convention i attended last spring...he was the guest speaker. i found him to be an interesting and intelligent guy...he has a PhD in chemistry and worked for a while and headed the research and development food department at Proctor & Gamble...where he did develope an "energy booster" drink among other things...he also mentioned getting into legal fights with those elves from Keebler on cookie recipes...he also mentioned that although the picture on the pringles can resembles him....it's a coincidence.
from talking with him, i got the impression that he's into fords....specifically classic/vintage ones i got my picture taken with him, so i was happy....
