Jeff,
1953-54 Corvette engine, 155hp Blue Flame 6 Cylinder, three one barrel carbs. Zora Arkus Duntov hated it, one of the motivations behind the first overhead valve V-8 in 1955, 265 CI solid lifter with oiling problems which was the predecessor to the improved indestuctable 283 which made it's debut in 1957, also the first year for the Chevrolet/Rochester fuel injection system with generator drive tach. YOU CANT PLAY ANYMORE!!
Correct on all acounts. Owner has had it since 1964 and tonight was the first time its been out on the road since 72. will be getting a complete resto very soon

Let's see, a diesel motor with everything routed up high in the air - could it be from a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HumVee)?
