Default 1970 Chevelle Cowl Panel

Could someone tell me if the cowl panel on a 1970 Chevelle should have plastic vent screens? Also how should the windshield washer lines run? I have seen a lot of cars without the plastic screens and several ways of routing the lines. Thanks

Myles

No cowl screens on any original '70 Chevelles I've seen. There are a few '70 owners lurking here who I'm sure will chime in. The washer hoses run through the little holes in the cowl area between the cut outs where the said screens would go. Pretty straightforward. Hope this helps.

They NEVER installed these cowl screens on chevelles. They were installed on Monte Carlo's.People over the years have just put these on the cars cause they filled that EMPTY void. The "MOF"

Thanks for the answer. Great informational site here. A judge at a local Car Show deducted points for no screens as the Chevelle next to mine had them.

No that would not be me. I am Myles. Thanks for the welcome! Here is a picture not that clear but you can get the idea. Not a Super Car but it's baby brother with a 396.

I am not sure where you have seen it in the past. The car was in Virginia for a while. Even though it looks like the one on Ebay #2452626127 it is not. Don't make me prove it!
