Default Vette help

Just dropped the tank on a 69 and the build sheet is still there in good shape. Looks like they were glued in the middle or something. Anyone know the secret of removing them without destroying them?????

I just work very slowly with new razor blades. Ending up with galvanizing on the back of the sheet.

COPO Pete,

-------STOP! Its only stuck on the tank once and should stay there. Its the ultimate way to prove that the build-sheet is indeed original. Very correct new tanks are available from a company called Quanta. They arent even that much. Pop for one and you wont have to worry about whats in the old tank either. And at shows the whole tank with the sticker still stuck to it makes a hell of a display. Solves way more problems than it creates as you dont take the chance of destroying it either!..............Bill S

------I see its a 350/350. Im sure you noticed but it appears this Vette was delivered to Canada. Gas tank sticker is still important, but now you have another method of documentation open to you! Congratulations!.........Bill S

Car was sold at Central Chev in London Ont. Canada. The sheet is in great shape. The car had the motor pulled in 1978 to be rebuilt and was stolen from the machine shop. The owner was pissed and just left the car sitting in his shop since then.
Oh ya.... consider him slapped. The tank is going in a plastic bag and put up in his attic!
