Default Atco Dragway

Was down Atco yesterday. The cars were flying. Tom Baird went 9.97 in his 396 A/S camaro. First 9 second stocker I saw in person. The hemi SS/AA were running low 8.70's all day. Dave LaBrun went 10.28 in B/SA which was running good along with Steve Calabro in his red 427 camaro in A/SA going 10.10! The gold 1962 corvette went a 10.48 in E/S that is unheard of. All the 302 guys are hurtin! They need NHRA to re-factor there h.p. ratings. A great day with finally nice weather.

I was there too; beautiful day. One of the most impressive cars for me was the Ray Barton Hemi Cuda. I think it went 10:12 when I saw it run. Another nice car was the 1970 Six Pack GTX. Beautiful weather, tons of cars but the stands weren't very full.
Also noticed a red Nova that had some type of "Yenko/Pro" striping on it; pretty cool.

Weather was great. The red nova was a bracket car. Dave Barton's 1968 Hemi Dart ran in the 8.70's. SS/AA. Al SS/AA cars were flying!! People never come to the National Opens or the points meets. They are all brain washed into thinking that there is only Top Fuel and Funny Car. That is NHRA's mind set. Screw the little guy.

Sam,
That was the best part about going to the US Nats at Indy for me - all the stockers and super stockers running, I believe they had more than twenty of the Hemi Darts and Cudas there. I'll be there this year on Wednesday morning when they fire up the first two cars for qualifying...
Sweet!

-Sam
