I'm looking for a 4spd Superbird. Looking for a car that needs to be restored. Must be all there and #'s matching. I'll pay $500 finders fee on a 440 and a $1000 finders fee on a Hemi. No Alpine White cars.
I'm also looking for a Challenger T/A. Must be #'s matching and perfect. No finders fee. Last but not least, I'm looking for a 1969 Firebird convertible that needs a restoration. Needs to be complete, but #'s not important(gonna build a T/A clone). No finders fee paid. Thanks, Jim [email protected] |

No finders fee? Aren't most of these people strangers to you?

Charley, will do on the profile.
Jason, all these people are strangers to me. What is your point? I listed a finders fee for the Superbird. The Challenger T/A and Firebird are more common cars, I expect the owner of the car to contact me, on the other hand, I need help with the "restorable" Superbird. Having been away from the muscle car hobby for some time, I was unaware that folks didn't help each other out any more. Back in the day we were there for each other. Just today I searched out an old post on a Cobra forum where a member was looking for a '57 T-Bird replica. I saw one in the Atlanta paper and posted up. If I can ever help you, I'm there for you. If I ever need your help, I will expect to pay you for it. Folks, I was unaware of the "finders fee custom" pertaining to "wanted" car ads. Please do not forward any info to me on Challenger T/A's and Firebirds, as I do not wish to pay a fee. The finders fee stands on the Superbird, though. Thanks, Jim |

I guess I was just a bit confused by the post. It seemed strange to me that you would offer a finders fee for one car and not the other. I am all for bringing a buyer and seller together just for the hobby, I just didn't understand the inconsistency.

Jason, I was confused about your response. Those "barn find" Superbirds are getting near immpossible to find. In comparision, it seems like Challenger T'A's are everywhere, as are convertible Firebirds. If you run across a Superbird project, keep me in mind.
Thanks, Jim |

every third saturday of the month there is a huge car show off riverstone pkwy. in canton,ga. there was a 69 conv. bird there last night, you may be able to go there next month and ask around and get a lead on it, i seen so many cars for sale, but i think that one was on the market, i believe it was an original conv. 400 car. had a hood tach, i do remeber that.
