Default Funnel Cloud

I am currently working away from home in Kinston North Carolina. Tuesday evening at about 7PM I was driving to the motel and saw a strange looking cloud. I stopped to watch it for a while. While I was watching a tornado started forming. I had my camera so I took a few pictures. It never touched ground but was very interesting to watch. It stayed there for probably 30 minutes while I watched. I don't know how long it was there after I left. Two county police cars were stopped and video taping the whole time I was stopped. Here are a couple pictures I took.

Those things are monsters but I've been intrigued by them. I've got to see one someday.

Not so neat when it's moving your way. When we lived in a TN for a couple of years, got to see them every year. Even had one run NEAR the neighborhood we lived in.

You'd better make sure you've got your RUBY REEBOKS on in case you have to click them together to get back to Kansas------
