A "real" yenko hood tach is actually a Dixco HT/x with a different (Yenko) logo on the faceplate... otherwise it is identical to any other Dixco hood tach you could have bought anywhere back in 70. The "correct" version for a Deuce has an 8000 RPM face, with all white numerals, and a metal recessed nut that attaches it to the hood. The Yenko logo will be a silk screen, NOT a decal, and will also be a white outline, not red white and blue. Later Dixco tachs were transistorized, and had a colored band across the top of the face, indicating various "stages" of RPMs... this is not correct for a Yenko, although the housing is the same... These also generally used a black plastic attaching nut, rather than the metal one. Hope this helps... theres also a pic of an original Yenko tach (although missing the redline pointer) in the Yenko facts section of this site...
