Default Rare wagon

I was at a local car show over the weekend and saw a car I have never seen before. I thought some of you may enjoy getting a look at it. It is a '67 Chevelle wagon with the factory L79 and four speed option. I've seen this combo in El Caminos and Chevelle coupes but never before in a wagon. Apparently the original owner bought the car to use as a tow vehicle for his Mopar drag car. The story goes that the Mopar broke during the season and the guy ended up racing the wagon for awhile, rather successfully too. Supposedly it fell into the hands of some kids who beat it up pretty good and let it get in poor shape but it is looking pretty good now! The car was originally gold and it sounds like it will be put back to that color in the next couple of years.

Don,

Wow, I guess it really is a small world (especially due to the internet). I thought the car was pretty cool. Didn't get a chance to talk with the owner. He was never around the times that I walked by it.

By the way the Woodie is my Dad's car. He also has a 52 Mahogany Chris Craft wooden boat, a 57 Belair Post and a 41 Ford 3/4 ton Stake bed Truck.
