Hi guys, if all goes well this week Old Bridge Township Raceway Park will be opening for its 40th season. The bad weather has delayed pouring the concrete for the new starting line, but, now it is done and I am looking forward to visits from all of you. Hope to see you there! Andrew

With 2005 being the 40th year of operation for the Englishtown facility, what would be better than to host a monthly cruise night for all four wheel vehicles? There will be five dates to start. All Tuesday evenings with the first one being May 10th. They will continue until September. Plenty of great things are planned including one free run down the famous RP ¼ mile dragstrip for those who have registered to participate. Great food, beer, vendors, and activities will take place. The runs down the racetrack should be a major draw to all the cruisers and cruisettes alike. The dates for cruise nights at RP are Tuesday evenings May 10th, June 7th, July 12th, August 9th,and September 13th. We hope to see you all out there in 2005. I was wondering if the anti-freeze/catch can rules apply these nights? A lot of cruise catagory cars would not pass regular tech inspections. How are you going to handle that aspect?

I guess you could say Andrew is the ever present "voice from above" at E-town! Kinda like the Wizard of Oz...you may not see him, but you'll hear him! And when in doubt, look up!

Andrew: new concrete? Unbelievable! Improving on arguably the best facility in the nation... Combine the new grip with the mineshaft air y'all get, and breakin' records will be as easy as fallin' outta bed! This yellow car of ours might go 114+ out there on the coast!

The cruise nights look great, the reason for the anti-freeze rules are mostly for regular racing, just make sure to have a temp overflow and that everything is secure and it should not be a problem

Did anyone else see the blurb in Hot Rod about Raceway Park possibly closing due to noise complaints from the locals? I'm glad to see operations are back!
