Default Picked up a neat vintage candy machine

I stumbled upon a "sidewalk sale" at my local junk store today. They had moved some larger items that hadn't been selling out onto the sidewalk and put signs on everything saying that they were going to donate all the proceeds of everything that sold to the red cross for the folks down in the gulf coast. Since it hadn't been getting much action, it was in my opinion at least reasonably priced. Considering it was also going to a good cause, I decided I'd have to buy this big thing and bring it home. It was certainly the last thing I needed cluttering up my garage, but I think it could look cool with maybe a few vintage water slide decals on the mirror. Anyone know anything about these old candy machines?

Dave Steinberg, is a big fan of candy machines and ultra knowledgeable about all things vintage. He may be of some help.

And he has that cool Scunio supercar

I got the thing picked up and moved into the garage today. I lucked out and the original key was located too. It's in amazing shape. Looks like all it really needs is a good cleaning and waxing, and some candy. The inside has a hand marked "62" on the loading instructions label, making me think it might be a 1962 model? Does anyone know how to accurately tell the age of one of these things?

Kid...I found the easiest way to tell it's age is to ask it real nicely !
