Anyone have opinions on the best way to store cars for winter? My garage is climate controlled but I was checking out those bubbles with the fans and also the car bags. Opinions?

If you have a climate controlled garage, i wouldn't use either one. Just put a cover over them to keep the dust off if you want, but i don't see any need for a bag or bubble contraption.

With the expected natural gas prices not sure my house will be climate controlled this winter.

I've stored my 66 Nova in a Car Capsule every winter for years........Put in it and in the Spring you barely have to wipe it off........They Work......

When it gets a little chilli we roll up the windows and crank the heat, Plus the pesky neighbors get sleeply and go home... ![]()

I just purchased the California Car Cover that is for indoor use, and is supposed to block dust from getting onto the paint etc. Been on the car for about two months now (including a couple of healthy AZ dust storms) and I lifted the cover and the car is dust free. I would highly recommend their cover if you are wanting to keep dust off the car.

Sam,definitely check out the capsule-not only does it filter out the dust, the fan keeps the air constantly circulating so no mold..not to mention you can drop a sledgehammer on it and it will bounce off the sucker-cheap insurance if you live in quAKelaND
![]() The main reason I got one was because I was storing my 35 mile Earnhardt SS in my "climate controlled" garage under the cover thinking I was safe..until I changed the oil and found a rat had made a nice little pad for himself in one of the air snorkles..figured $275 for the bubble or a chewed up harness- simple math ! ![]() |
