Default '68 Bill Thomas Camaro article

Saw this in the new MCR. The car was modified in 1968 by Bill Thomas Race Cars for the owner, who wanted a bad-ass street car. Anyone know more about the car? Those slots, big meats, Stinger hood, and no rear spoiler make this car really stand out. Cars like this make me an even bigger Day 2 fan. Car also has a stock bench seat and column-shift Th-400!

Bruce, you read my mind. This car demands a full feature in Member's Rides.

Troy, your Camaro is breathtaking. Slot mags never looked so good!

Very nicely done car. I am curious about what the original engine was, because I have never seen L78 car equipped with 3.08 gears.Usually that gear set was in L35 or l34 equipped cars. Its possible, just very unusual...maybe the writer made a mistake. That day two look is very nasty.

Guys thanks for the compliments. As good as Geoff is at writing he did miss the L78 statement in the "At a glance" box at the end of the article. It should be stated it is the original L35 engine. Unlike the Gibb/Harrell Novas is that there were not any solid lifter 396 Camaros in 68 with the TH400, at least none have been found. So you are correct about the original 3.08 gearset not being behind an L78.
