I am re-listing my car for sale at a fair and realistic price of 250K. Considering the only GT500KR Convertible to be sold at Barrett/Jackson sold for $322,000.00 I believe the price is more than reasonable. This is a car which has been completely rotisserie restored and kept in a temperature controlled environment. Since completion the car has had only three hundred test miles put on it; working out all of the bugs. My car has been verified and authenticated by Kevin Marti as well as having the original Shelby Unit build sheet. This vehicle is only one of two cars delivered to Canada. The car is also listed in The SAAC. Please contact me by telephone if you are interested. Home (905)722-9884 Cell (905)252-9884.
Thank you, Richard. |

$322,000? I think you meant to say $294,000, or, $280k before buyers premium. It was my Special Paint Yellow 4 speed car, build sheet, 20k documented original miles, recent concours resto. Another yellow KR convert 4 speed brought around $190k at Russo, I am sure the actual result would be on their website.
Although I do sincerely wish my car DID sell for $308k at the hammer, it didn't! Regards, Colin |

We aren't?
Just thought it was only right to post the correct sales price for my car at B-J since it was being used as a comparable sale. Perhaps advertising his Shelby for sale in the SAAC newsletter or on the Shelby forums could be of further benefit to Richard as well. In my experience, Shelby guys stay within their "realm". Colin,
-----What did you think of the other Shelby 500 convert from Rhode Island? In dont think it was a KR, but still looked pretty tasty (red/tan), although I freely admit I dont know a good one from a bad one. It went off ridiculously late Saturday night and didnt bring what I tought it would. -----In that vein, how much more is a KR worth than an equally nice straight GT500???.........Bill S |

Thank you very much for the support Steve. I was under the impression there was an auction fee of 15-16% over and above the selling price. I have never been a buyer or seller at BJ Auction and therefore I was making a statement based on what I had heard. I am sorry for the confusion. I am not trying to upset anyone here on the site.

There is a buyer fee of 8% and a seller fee of 8%. The only time the fee would be 16% would be if the seller bought his own car back he would be charged both fees. In this case the buyer paid 8%.
