Default line-lock nightmare

just installed a line lock on my camaro and it's plumbed correctly but when activated it will not hold the front wheels .it easily overpowers the front brakes over 1500 rpm .the brake lines have been bled numerous times and everything else checked out. so what's causing this is my motor to healthy to hold back against the brakes. i'm so bummed out right now

2 crazy questions:
1) do you have front disc or drums?
2) is the car pushing itself forward with locked wheels or are the wheels actually turning?

Those are two very good questions. Another is, what condition are your pads or shoes in, on the front? Possibly you have tried this already but on my car with front discs, I push the breaks real hard then hit the button and it holds the fronts firmly. Then, while holding the button, I floor the gas to get the rears spinning quickly as to not budge the car forward at all. Worked from the first time. When you get it working correctly you will be very happy with the smoke. Best of luck.

In my younger years I had the same problem on my first Nova. I never could figure out what the root cause was, but learned to live with it. I think the solenoid was not being activated properly, but... I found that by rolling a bit, then hitting the brakes hard - and the button, and ramming the gas pedal, the system would work. I didn't use it too often, and when I had the 6 banger we sometimes had to rock the car forward to unload the rear tire(s) to get them to break loose Didn't have that problem with the V8 though

if the car stopped fine before your fine, chances are the solanoid is used??? it is bleeding off probably, pull it apart and rebuilt it or send it back to Hurst for a rebuild. then do some of this...

Have you tried hitting the brakes a couple times *then* hitting the button? All the solenoid does is hold fluid in or out (depending on how it's plumbed)...like the others said, if your brakes were fine before and it doesn't work if you pump them up then hold them then hit the button then the unit is bad...

[/ QUOTE ]i've got factory disc brakes up front and it's pushing the car forward and the front wheels are moving not locked when the button is depressed .if i just tap the gas pedal with the line-lock engaged the car pulls forward very easily. the line-lock is powered by 12v ignition on and when the key is on ican hear an audible click from the solenoid .the brake pads and rotor were done probably 15k ago so those are good .
