Muscle cars and Emissions Testing - Arizona
Heads up to AZ car owners. Got wind of this about 10 days ago in local paper and now Hemmings has the news too.
AZ Emissions Exemption! This has been a long time coming and looked to be on its last legs more than once. I am surprised their definition of vintage car goes back 15 years and not 25 like most other participating states. In any case this is terrific news  for those affected....and good reason for the rest of you to consider our fair state!

that makes perfect sense. when I go for my NY inspection they just look at the car from across the parking lot and hand me a scraper and a sticker. They dont want to put it on the lift to pull a wheel to check brakes, liability? They dont even offer to remove the old sticker (required for regular new cars). I had to wait thirty years to breeze through inspections and get cheap insurance.
