Default Mecum Florida

Let me start this post by saying that my two year learning curve with selling cars through auction services has led me to only put the Mecum auctions on my calendar next year. That is about as nice as I can be about some of the other auction services out there.

The prices were through the roof in Florida for the quality, no issue, muscle cars. The Vettes in my opinion were still a little soft however a beautiful 67 435 sold for over $200,000. I watched a non X-code 69 Z sell for $74500. A NOM crossram sold for $97500. It was a relief for me and several others down there to see the reaffirmation of the market prices. I sold all four of my cars for over my reserve price so I was happy.

The sun was shining, the cars were selling, and the beer was flowing...It is amazing how much more fun this is when cars are selling!

Let me also add that the no-sale of ZL1 #36 was a disappointment. I like many others (including the owner) thought this car would break the 7 figure mark. It says nothing about the car, but only that the guy with the million in his pocket there wanted a Cobra instead!

Is this the one that has been residing in New Jersey for the last couple of years that has only owner history with no other documentation? I believe the owner is a member on the board here.
