Went to start my 454, and NaDa. No Power at all, No interior lights, nothing. Checked the battery, and it's fine. Check connections all seem fine. 12 volts going to the starter, Ok. Nothing coming out of Starter. No power at all.
installed NEW Starter. Same thing. 12 volts going in, and Nothing coming out. No power at all. I am cleaning the ground connections on the car as we speak. hoping that is the issue. But it is a Clean and detailed engine compartment. Any Ideas???? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks ![]()

If the ground cable goes to the alternator bracket, check the bracket mounts too. I've seen them have all three attachment points corroded and rusty. Makes diagnosis hard to do. May be easier to just move the ground cable.

Thanks,
There is a grond to the block and the radiator support. The support is powder coated and might not be making a great connection. And I think your right, rust could have formed behind the ground on the block. I'll give it a try. Thanks

Cleaned and checked all the grounds, and still no power coming from New Starter motor and solenoid.
Checking every wire and connection. 12 plus volts before the starter, nothing coming out. Don't know why. ![]()

What do you mean power coming out of the starter? Does this car use a junction block on the firewall to distribute power to the ignition switch?
