Our son Pat (just returned from Iraq) was down the Phillies game tonite on the field for the opening ceremony. He is one of the soldiers that went to Iraq with the Stryker Brigade from Pa. Shame it was so rainy becaue the military was going to do a little more on the field. We are happy he is home after his second tour of the big sandbox!

Special thanks to folks like Tommy K., Rick Nelson, Nghtflyr, and all those who volunteer, or are paid professional fire fighters/EMT/law enforcement personel.
They don't do it just today, they do it everyday.

In remembrance, I humbly thank all who are keeping us safe and able to do what we do in this great country. As it's been said before, "All gave some, some gave all". God bless America.

Just got off the phone with a young E-5 from Ft. Drum, NY...he was wounded in Afghanistan. He is currently in a rehabilitation battalion attached to the 10th Mt. Division. He is one of the guys going into the woods next week with me...there are 3 from Ft. Drum and one from NYC.

We talked a little about his combat expereinces...these guys are something else...real heros. They are all excited about the trip...he said he won't sleep between now and Thursday.
