Default BEWARE OF THIS EBAY SCAM!!!!

I got an email today that said question from an ebay member and looked original and the message said "if you don't answer me I will be forced to report you to ebay and you will be suspended,I sent you paypal 2 weeks ago"and there was a ebay thread to click on which looked original so I clicked it and there was the usual ebay log on asking for your user id and password.I started to type it and I thought maybe a scam.I went to my ebay because the same question should be there and it wasn't.I checked the ebay item # that was on the email thread and there was no such item. When I clicked on the email thread again my computer then recognized this as phising and told me to disregard. This was one of the best scams I have seen yet for these degenerate scum creeps to steal your ebay ID.Paul

yes....always check your ebay account if you are unsure....and NEVER give your user name or password in an email......ebay and paypal will never ask for that info in an email......good thing you stopped

That tactic has been around for a while. 2 years ago I got caught when I got an email asking (actually through ebay) "Is your item like this one?" It had a clickable link and when I opened it, I also got another log-on screen. I thought it is odd since I was already logged on but I filled it out anyway. It went no where. Shortly after that someone logged onto one of my auctions and deleted most of the bids with just under 12 hours left to the auction. He didn't change my password, but I could no longer edit or stop the auction. It was a mess to clean up, but ebay emailed each of the bidders to let them know I was hacked and it wasn't me who did it.

I've gotten messages like that several times - I hadn't been on E-bay in months when I received the first so I didn't fall for it!

It's really a shame that these messages are still popping up going on over two years now. It just shows that people are still falling for it everyday.

Any email you get from Ebay or Paypal will address you by your name not "Dear Ebay/Paypal User" I get these type of emails about every day supposedly from Ebay and Paypal. I just delete them.
