bell ringers ??

we finished up our shopping this week and realized that there wasnt anybody outside any of the stores ringing that little bell...........is it the same everywhere or just in nw il ???

My wife & I have been bell ringers here in town for the last 3 or 4 years...even had one of our kids help us a time or two...but we actually didn't get to this year because they had *too many* folks from our community sign up to ring 'em...but they're still set up at the same places they've always been, around here anyway?

Yep, we put in a couple of stints this year. The stations are maybe not as plentiful as past years, but still noticably present in our area.

I noticed it also Jeff,

My son and I ring at least twice a year with the Boy Scouts.

But I have noticed in my travels that there does not seem to be as many this year in our area north of Chicago??

I know they used to be consistent at the Jewel Super Market but this year they are not there

Wondering Also Maybe someone complained that a "Christian" organization had offended them so they would not shop????

They are all over here,more so then ever before it feels like.
You can't not hear that bell,wherever you are.
I've given to them so far this year at Jewel,K-Mart,Target,Costco,Kohls and also see them camped outside many Oak Brook Mall stores.They certainly do love Rt.83.
Everytime we see them we say,"That a boy Clarence".
