Reserve now lowered. ??? Description says that it needs and deserves full restoration. I would like to see a sympathetic resto, car looks really nice.

I don't know what reserve lowered message implies. I believe last time it bid to about $150,000.

Now with Joel's letter (not that there was any doubt to what it was) I would guess the seller is expecting a larger bid..

I would put the motor back together and show it with the existing body and paint.

ya know,
i agree, i think the way it is now, unrestored, is a snapshot in time of the work that joel did.
unless of course, the interior and such are unbearable to live with !
