Hey Charlie L, can you post some pictures of that awesome 66 hemi you picked up at Mecum? I am envious. A real supercar in sheeps clothing. A great buy. That sure looked like you on TV when they hammered that car sold.

I knew this car well as I found it while in line to go on the block at Barrett Jackson in 2006. I let Paul know about it and he bought it that night. It really is a 1,800 mile car with all the quirks an original car has that a restorer would never duplicate. It was one of the finest original cars I've ever seen, or driven. Bad fit and finish, drips, runs, overspray, crayon marks, and all the good stuff.
How funny that a prior owner had factory paperwork on the car and Charlie helped secure this for Paul back in 2006. He "temporarily" bought the car five years later. |

----Tim,,,I put probably 50 to 100 of those 1800 miles on way back in 1978/9 when the car came thru Classic Motors. It came to us from the original Florida owner via one of our buyers. As Tim said, one of the best original Mopars in the world. It would be nice to get original tires back on it, but thats really a minor consideration considering the car as a whole.....Bill S

It came with blue line tires and this was noted on the underside of the trunk in white crayon.
