There were 3 OO RA3 4sp Judges that came up in Mecum this year all in May.
One reported number match very nice sold for 70K One nice driver, but no mention of originality sold for 48K One reported number match, nice driver with few mods no sale at 57K I don’t believe any of those three are the two you are looking at unless there have been some really recent changes to them. The EBAY one was ended so maybe it sold. Type of pictures make me cautious. You need more detailed/clearer pictures or go see it in person. The other looks nice. The judging sheets in the picture shows it got silver at the 97 GTOAA. Good – but 15 years ago. Would mean much more if it had been judged in the last few years. Just based on the pictures, I see a belt hanging, steering box leaking; many parts/bolts that should be plated are Eastwood painted. No mention of expensive parts such as carb and dist. being original. Would guess older restoration. At 80K, you are entering where some nice 70 RAIV HT Judges are selling for. If I was actually appraising just based on the pictures – $60 to 65K. (higher end if carb and dist. Is correct) Brian |

c'est la vie, snooze ya lose. It was a real OO car. </div></div> Sorry to hear you missed out on the deal. It bothers me when a seller agrees to an offer, then accepts a higher offer from someone waving more money around. I've read dozens of stories on the web where people have actually put down deposits, hooked up trailers, and traveled hundreds of miles, only to be told by the seller that someone came up with a better offer. These guys would sell their own grandmother for the right price. I'm not sure who is worse, a seller accepting a higher offer AFTER already agreeing to previous offer, or the buyer that is told the car is already sold, and they start waving more and more money around to screw over the first buyer. I'm afraid these are typical American values nowadays. No integrity, no values, and to them the ends justifies the means.
