The Yenko clone ended up in a collection in Newport beach California. I just talked to the owner last week and I do not think he would be the kind of person to post this. If the car is a 1969 R/S ZL1 I think the engine area might look a little more like my last ZL1 clone.

He is not claiming that picture to be the car. If you read it he is asking about the headers in the picture. I think the best thing for the owner to do is to contact Charlie.

Scott, he did claim it to be the engine from the car.

No malice intended there............just trying to clarify "in the south" and with this group, if you don't lay out the trail you may as well spit in the wind. It appeared to matter throughout the thread with Seatle being mentioned.

I certainly apologize to Tracy if you were annoyed by the posting of your YouTube channel.

Guys, this search for information has taken a turn in the wrong direction for me. I am now known as the person disrespecting other folks by posting pictures of their "clone" motor when I think we have the real thing. That picture was sent to me by the owner who I have no doubt at all about the pictures authenticity. However if the first clone picture is side by side with the one I posted I see differences. Specifically in air filter decals and the brake lines off of the master cylinder. I am impressed with the resemblances. But they do not look to be the same motor to me. Wouldn't a clone be expected to look the same.

92646 I agree the copo zl1 should look more like your last post. But maybe with cast exhaust manifolds. But my whole reason for being here is why would it have the yenko block and badges like the orange clone? I may be ignorantly posting but I can assure you that I am honestly posting.

Brakes lines and air cleaner decals look the same to me. Also I think you said the car was a RS but the engine compartment you show is not a RS. They both even have the same incorrect master cylinder. Same welded on ports on the headers. If your friend insists that is a pic of his engine he is probably not that good of a friend.

I don't even think that Yenko aluminum block was available in 69.
