That upgrade to a 350 should help the value.

You know in all honesty he's not lying. The 350 really is an upgrade. I've had 3 Z28' s in my lifetime and was never impressed with the 302. A 70 LT 1 will run circles around it and who knows maybe this guy's 350 is built up and makes it a little nicer to drive. He's not asking crazy money either. I'm sure I pissed off some people now so now I can go to bed. Let the bashing begin

One of the fastest 69 Z/28s I ever rode in had the 302 replaced with a crate 350 LT-1. With this car I am a little concerned about it having a deluxe interior trim tag but it looks like original standard interior doors and seats. I know that all that can be changed over but it is a fair amount of work to go backwards.

I absolutely agree that a 350 upgrade made it functionally a much better car to the normal person. But in the context of a sale ad selling a Z-28, claiming a 350 as an ( implied ) value adding improvement doesn't hold much water. To me, that is what the seller was trying to portray.

Where in the ad does it say 350 LT1 upgrade ?
For all we know it could be a truck engine or a 2 brl Smogger. No value increase.....just another stone. That undercoat on the firewall is a value enhancer as much as the engine..... I wonder how far down and under that undercoat goes ?
