Love the guy that ordered this no option car - just the essentials. Screw worrying about highway driving.
Just switch out 396 emblems with 350, and cruise for prey. |

Awesome car - we were talking about it last week before it was relisted (with a reserve, now, I see):

June car with a July 15 engine. Could it have been waiting around for an L78? Two weeks or longer? Just asking.
Also, one of the things I always look for on the old POPs is a real address for the owner. Most (not all) of the fake plates do not have a viable address. I notice this one just says "Bodine Ave." for street address with no house number. Not saying it is a fake POP. I am only asking questions.

I had not even looked at the trim tag.
VIN is awful low for a July car. Last number out the door in June was 482588. This one is 473322, more than 9000 cars away. They only built 2147 cars in July. I am not bashing the car, just trying to understand. I do know there are some anomolies with some of the hp cars, like L78 and also with rarely used rear axles. But the rear was assembled June 11, so they weren't waiting on that. From CRG: Due to several limitations the VINs in this list will not necessarily correlate exactly with either a specific calendar day or the build week on the cowl tag. The data for some months (especially May and June 68 at Norwood) deviate significantly from actual build dates, while other months correlate well.*

L78
This is a unique car, that I am very familiar with. The car is still in original the original owners name and he is alive and well. All documentation is garenteed to be 100% legit as are all of the numbers. The original engine was swapped out at some time and a 327 was put in the car with the original transmission and 456 gears. The original owner moved to North Carolina and that is where the car was purchased from.
The original engine with standard bore was found on this sight in Alberta Canada. Do a search with the VIN # and you will see the owner of the block looking for the car. Great story of a engine and car reunion! |

Glad to hear it is as advertised. I certainly did not mean to cast any doubt on the car. I was only asking questions. Hopefully it goes to a good home.
