Casey,
I will be ready pretty soon!! I am getting a plug in chip and a set of marine injectors, Hows 330 horsepower and 870 ft lbs at the rear wheels sound. Whats even cooler it dont void the warranty or hurt mileage as long as you dont drive like an idoit Cummins- The Ultimate Driving Machine!!

Aw come on! Let's not start this tow vehicle
thing again! Just when I thought it was safe to go on line again. What's next? A ten page run on about a small block Corvette being a Supercar or not. Rob, Thanks for the info on the Stude sight. I kept typing in Stud instead of Stude....not very much car related stuff there at all!

Rob, rOb, RoB, you had to go and give me the Studes site ....... what's a guy to do ..... I thought it was fun with the Buick boyz ...... you ain't seen nothin' yet.

I got into the board, but do you have a specific thread about the Pure Stocks, or that silly reply in Post Exchange, or slamming your yellow car ???

So, Pete...Stude does not equal Stud?! I bet you found some "interesting" stuff when you searched for Stud! There isn't a whole lot that doesn't go on over there that isn't Stude related, but it is good for a change of pace.

Mike:

I have a couple of friends with Cummins tow rigs...would mind divulging how much the upgrades set you back? Did Jim Haas (Buick528) hook you up with the mods?

Casey:

There are several threads concerning the Pure Stock Drags, mainly telling about what cars the Stude ran against. The archive @ Google is a good place to search for any topics, and you can also search a TON of other news groups for any topics. I ran across a bunch of newsgroups I now read by way of the Stude page (which used to be Deja.com).

Thanks Rob .....

Just spent some time siftin' thru their banter .....

They just don't get it, do they ?? If you wanna get someone wound up about the Studes, just ask my buddy, Brian Stefina (61 283/270 Vette), about them the next time you see him. He will bring you to tears talkin' about those guys.

I will reserve any further comment at this time ......

Jim's who you need to talk to about the diesel stuff. I think the "chip" is about $795 and the injectors are $65 each?

As far as the musclecar chat room goes I think it would be nice if it were on neutral ground(PSMCDR). This is not to say the Buick club have not been gracious hosts. If anything they have taken alot of abuse on their oun site and never complained. Hats off to Dave Greene and the rest of the Buick Boys!!

Us pure stock racers are a rare breed. Whenever I tried to talk about it on the Moparts site I was just about run off the site(I'm exagerating)But most of those guys didn't get it.Ron is one of the few on that site that apreciate how much work goes into a good running"stock" car.

Mike its funny you say that as this very weekend I went to a car show and a friend brought out his 70 Torino GT with a 351 Cleveland and Shaker hood and the car looked good! When I said this is a great car for the PSD races my Mopar buddies said there he goes again! There just isnt alot of Mopar people on Moparts into the stock drags and thats ok as I like em all but I know I cant afford to compete with the Pro Street guys but I think I could run a Pure stock car without going broke or my wife leaving me and I like the challenge of seeing how fast I can get one to go as it reminds me of growing up and seeing them driving on the streets when they were new!And I just like stock looking muscle cars that run good! Ron

OK Ron, But we're talkin about musclecars. I don't see where a Ford fits into this discussion?
