Default heater delete

I want to turn my car into a factory appearing radio and heater delete car. the car is a 69 chevelle. my thanx to the person who sent me some photos of the 69 yenko chevelle. the radio delete I purchased already. what I want to do is purchase the kit that is available from OPG for a 66-67 chevelle. it appears that the pieces that attach to the firewall are the same? most of the catalogs list the gaskets from 66-72 for the heater box as the same so I'm assuming they will fit. for the piece that fits into the dash I want to strip the housing for the heater controls and outline a piece of plastic and paint it to match. does anyone make a whole setup for this? I have never seen it on a 68 or later chevelle. thanx

Rat Tuned, I have sent you an email that includes the two pages from the 69 Chevelle assy manual showing option C48 heater delete. You can make the dash opening insert with no problem as there is a good drawing of it from the backside of the instrument cluster...............RatPack.............

One other thing I forgot to answer was whether the pieces on the firewall fit. I have been told yes by a friend that installed them on his 68. They should work on your 69 then. Anyone else know for sure..............RatPack............

I bought a set of the repops from Sherman Associates a few years ago (I assume they still stamp them),when they first came out and they were the same shape as the GM pieces but looked like they had been cut out with a chainsaw so I returned them. You'll need to fabricate the block offs for the defroster ducts in the dash.

X77D80, the piece that covers the blower hole will work as it is the same. I would almost bet that the other piece would work but not sure. For some reason I remember that the non-a/c heater box is the same for the Chevelle and Camaro with a small block. Get some measurements first. Drawings in the assy manuals look the same, but those are drawings...............RatPack...............

I had, at the same time, an original set of 67-68 camaro heater delete pieces dash & firewall, a set of original 68 GTO dash and firewall pieces, and a set of repro 67 Chevelle dash and firewall.

The 2 firewall pieces for all were the same.

I looked in a interchange manual and the same blower motor is used for 67-74 f-body,
64-74 a-body, 71-74 x-body.

on the pictures of the yenko with the heater delete it still showed the astro ventilition balls and vents in the passenger side(chrome balls). would this be correct? maybe air circulation was possible with the car moving. I think I'll order the kit from opg. thanx for all the input.
