Gary, please correct your email address in your profile. What makes you think it might be a Nickey car?

Gary, your VIN has one too many numbers.

The listed VIN # looks like a body sequence number off of the trim tag, early car. The engine casting number shows it is from a 66/67 Passenger car 427/425hp w/ manual trans, as does the 'ID' engine suffix. The heads check out with the same application. Is it possible that Nickey would install a '66/'67 Passenger engine into a '70 car as opposed to a crate 427 or LS6?

I think that what Charley mentioned was significant, because the 70 Nova SS came with Power disk brakes standard. What you have is probably a homemade SS.

It is also possible that the car was raced, and may have had the discs removed in favor of the drums. We found a Yenko Camaro that had been raced a little, it had the drums installed because of the disc brake 'drag'.

Kevin's 427 Nickey Z-28 had the discs removed. So it is possible.
