Can anyone out there verify Doug Thorley Headers? I have a set that are supposed to be real? the only thing I can find for indentification is a four diget number on each one and R and L for left and right on the flange on the engine side.

Doug Thorley is still in business and has a web site. Maybe there is an old timer still around that will know how to ID the 1969 headers.

Did get in touch with them, they now use # 313 for the part number on the big block headers. The ones I have have the part number # 2285. No one there can remember the part number they used in the late 60s, but were stamped on the flange.

Speaking of headers, who makes the best fitting Big Block headers for '70 G body and '69 F Body cars?

That part number sounds like a Hooker Header part # as they use 4 digits. I checked an old catalog and they have a #2285 listed for 1967-69 Camaro or 1968-72 Nova with big block. Shows to be 2 1/8x36. Hope this helps.
