Default Date code info. Anyone like this idea?

While looking for date code correct parts, I kept saying to myself. "Wouldn't it be nice if there was a site that had info about proper date ranges for individual parts?" Maybe I am wrong. But I think for most members of this is a non-issue. But for people just getting started that want correct info I believe this kind of info is a must. I came up with this idea. If there is an interest in this among the group, I would be willing to put the info together. If owners would be willing to and if the info is handy, an email to me with the build date of your car and individual component dates would allow me to put very accurate date code info together for us to display some where on the site perhaps. The only requirement that I think would be a must is that info is only supplied on parts that are known to be original from the factory. I don't know, seems like a nice idea to me. Being able to quickly find out what the correct date code range on a set of heads for instance would be great if there were more than one car to reference. You guys tell me. Good idea or should I go jump in the lake.

The Camaro Research Group (CRG) has a pretty extensive database on just what you are proposing. I'm sure "Kurt S" on this site would help you with any date code info you might need.

The date relationship guidelines between car and components has been published (so many weeks before the build date, etc), but ask if you have a specific question.

It's published in several books, on the CRG website, etc.
