Name COPO can appear ridiculous for a car of this type, but the connoisseurs know that these 4 letters are power synonymes to the pure state!
COPO corresponded to the initial ones of Central Office Production Order, the department Chevrolet for the productions "to leaves" such as the Taxis, the Police cars.. but also the cars "to the card" as a Muscle For on measures!

The COPO Camaro had, mostly, the BB 427 of 425HP, nevertheless , some Camaro received the Absolute weapon of Chevrolet: the BB 427 ZL1 all alu. It was a true dragster!

Looks like some of the shot's were taken digitally from the American Musclecar "COPO" episode on Speedvision. Thanks for the translation above. The loose translations become pretty funny at times..i.e. "- Melted Block 7.0 liters L-72"...god I hope they meant forged.
