Default Use of Yenko name

Just received word from Ebay in regards to the use of the Yenko name. It seems that their legal department agrees with the sYc that Yenko Inc still holds the rights to the use of the Yenko name, when assoicated with cars, and can not be used with out permission. And, since the sYc has permission to act as an agent for Yenko, Inc., the sYc can file a complaint against anyone who uses the name in an unfavorable way.

To me, this is very good news, not only for the protection of the Yenko name, but for all of the supercar dealers. Hopefully more supercar dealer "rights holders" will contact Ebay and stop the illegal use of their property.

About time E-bay did the right thing I dont think you can stop this moron selling his clown cars in Canada but at least you can stop him selling on e-bay where he will lose 90% of his buying market

Good news indeed, well done Tom. The question now arises about the use of eBay.ca and how it actually links to eBay.com . The Canadian site gets very little exposure south of the border which is why most items are listed on the U.S. site, even by most of us Canucks.

Now that's the kind of action that was needed. Nice work. Were you ever able to find out what his claim to the 'Yenko' name is in Canada? I assume he was full of cr@p when he made that statement since he lies about all his cars.

Tom, you and I seldom agree, but I agree with you that the Yenko trade name should be protected, and this is a good first step.

But what's to prevent the guy from changing the name from Yenko Series II to just Series II? He can continue to call them Yenko clones.

So does this mean if he trys to sell on ebay using the Yenko name that they will shut down the auction?

That would be my guess, but this is all new to me. I guess we need to keep an eye out for "our buddy" and see what happens.
